Giant ground screws provide a more sustainable and mess-free alternative to concrete.
We use giant ground screws to create a strong and level foundation. They’re a lower carbon alternative to concrete, use fewer resources and work in better harmony with the environment. Ground screw foundations also avoid the need for excavation and heavy machinery, which limits damage and mess in your garden.
It is estimated that a 4m x 5m timber garden room requires a minimum of 1 tonne of cement, producing 1.25 tonnes of embedded carbon. The same size garden room requires 16 ground screws (weighing only 8.5kg), producing only 244.8kg of embedded carbon.
