Yes, they’re so well insulated that they can be used throughout the year. All our garden rooms benefit from the thermal expertise we use to build our houses, and also come with a heater for those rare snowy days!

We offer a range of laminate, vinyl and engineered timber floor finishes.

This work will need to meet the requirements of the Building Regulations and may mean that you need planning permission. If you need a water supply we’re happy to organise through our specialist partners to chat to your plumber of choice. Just remember that this will need to meet Building Regs and might mean you need to get planning permission.

Our garden rooms are freestanding, but we can build as close as 500mm to any existing structure (including your fence or house!).

Our garden rooms are constructed to meet high engineering standards, similar to those used in building houses. While this means they do have good acoustic properties, they are not completely soundproof. If you are planning to use your garden room for activities that generate significant noise levels, such as band practice or similar, we can provide options to improve sound performance. During your free design consultation, our team can discuss options such as sound-reducing insulation, acoustic glass, and other acoustic materials to help deaden sound and reduce noise transfer. We don’t fit solar panels to our rooms at the moment. It’s possible to do so, but you need to take advice from specialist providers as the structure of our roofs aren’t built to support solar panels. Also, they may take your building height above the Permitted Development guidelines.

Yes, we can accommodate custom shapes for your garden room as long as it is feasible within our build system. However, please note that we may not be able to accommodate particularly complex or unconventional shapes, such as a zocchihedron. If you have a specific shape in mind for your garden room, please let us know and we will do our best to make it a reality within the limits of our capabilities.

You certainly can install a wood burner in your garden room. In fact, a wood burner is a great way to create a cosy space inside your garden room. Because of the smaller size of garden rooms, you will be limited in terms of the size of wood burner you can install. Keep in mind that smaller burners tend to be more efficient, which will save you money. In addition, local regulations apply that determine the type of burner that can be used in some areas. In most cases, a log burner will also require a 2 metre external flue

Yes, it is possible to soundproof a garden room to reduce the amount of noise that escapes from the building.  There are several options available for soundproofing a garden room, including the use of acoustic glass, insulation, and other specialised materials. Yes, we can easily include dividing walls or separate rooms in your bespoke garden room. We can create entirely separate rooms within your garden building using partition walls. These can be connected via a door, or you may want each room to only be accessible from outside. You can use these separate spaces for a wide range of purposes. For example, they may be useful if you require an extra area for the storage of tools, cycles, garden machinery or anything else. Or you might wish to create a separate room for working and one to relax in.
